The next step in the layout construction process is to install the backdrop panels. These will be attached to furring strips, which I cut 2-inches wide from 1/2" Oak plywood as shown in the photo here.
I installed three rows of furring strips. They are installed simply via screws to the studs in the wall.
I passed them across the windows in the room.
Next, I cut the Masonite panels that will be the backdrops.
These were trimmed to fit their location and attached to the furring strips with yellow carpenters glue. A brad nailer held the panels in place while the glue dried while minimizing the amount of damage done to the panels.
