Model Information

This is a Smoky Mountain Model Works (SMMW) kit that was in the works for about three and a half years. When S-scale modeler John Degnan tried to drum up support for this project, his initial efforts failed. However, his persistence eventually lead to enough reservations for Jim King, owner of Smoky Mountain Model Works, to agree to design and create the kit. In the end apparently lots of people came through and ordered this kit. It has even enjoyed a re-run. The initial kits started shipping in late 2014 and I received mine in January 2015. Finally, two years later in January 2017 I finished the model.
