The layout used AF mechanisms, trucks, and track, but Lee scratchbuilt everything else to his own standards, which was On3-1/2. The whole objective of the layout was an exercise in perspective, as he was a professional artist. The layout was moved to the Lake Superior Transportation Museum North Road in downtown Duluth after his death. The article includes photos of the layout, and a track plan reprint from the May 1962 issue of Model Railroader magazine.
