A Guide to Passenger Car Underbody Detailing

The author couldn't find much information about detailing passengers cars, so he set about doing the research. This article covers underframes, brakes, heating, water systems, lighting, and air conditioning. Included with the article are prototype photos, photos of parts available in S- and HO-scale, and diagrams of brake rigging and parts placement.

Creating Small Streams and Waterfalls

The author used foam blocks to build up the scene, etched the foam to simulate the erosion of the water of the waterfall, then poured thick plaster to represent the water, painted the water, and finally installed the surround scenery and the waterfall itself.
